About Rod

Rod worked initially in regulation and supervision with the Housing Corporation in London and Glasgow. He served as Director of Partick HA for over 5 years before becoming Director of SHARE, the training organisation for housing associations. In almost 20 years he expanded the range of training on offer and maintained SHARE’s position as the main provider of training to housing associations in Scotland.


Rod is a specialist in, and has a particular interest in, governance. Whilst at SHARE he helped develop an SQA accredited governance qualification for Committee members in housing associations and he served on a working party that supported the production of the National Occupational Standards for Trustees and Management Committee members.


Rod is accredited to use Myers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) Step I & II and has been trained to administer the Belbin Team Roles Inventory. He is a member of the Scottish Governance Forum which aims to improve the quality of governance in Scotland’s third sector. He currently chairs the Board at Glasgow Wood Recycling a successful social enterprise based in Glasgow.
